In the recent Odisha flood 2022, Catholic Charities with the support of Caritas India and CRS has supported the victims with immediate relief. This support will definitely meet the food requirements of the family for another 15-20 days, in the situation where people are not getting daily wage work due to the post flood situation.

Catholic Charities since its inception has dedicated itself to address the disaster and calamities. We are at the forefront in serving the victims during disasters. Catholic Charities has supported the victims of Super cyclone 1999, Cyclone Phailin in 2013, cyclone Hudhud in 2014, cyclone Fani in 2019 and victims of high floods.
The best part of this intervention was that, community was fully engaged from day -1, PRI members had full cooperation staring from village selection to beneficiary selection and distribution along with proper exit from the villages. It gave lot of learning experience to the team of Catholic Charities as well.
